Ri-Thai Fiber Corporation is founded in March of 1977 to meet the
worldwide demand for monofilament production, with headquarters in
Taipei, Taiwan and a manufacturing plant in Taoyuan, Taiwan. |

In that same year, it is successful in producing Taiwan’s first
strand of polyester monofilament for use in zipper coils. |
|
1980 |
|
In 1980, Ri-Thai develops the first strands of polyamide 66 monofilament
in Taiwan for use in hook and loop tape fasteners. |
|
In December of 1981, Rectown Enterprise Co., Ltd. is established
to provide innovative solutions in the field of materials and machinery
related to production of zippers and hook & loop tape fasteners. |
| Growth
and Expansion |

1982 |
|
 To
meet an increased market demand, Ri-Thai Fiber Corporation moves its
production facilities to its current location in Chung Li, Taiwan.

|
1993 |
|
Ri-Thai establishes a Guangzhou, China plant in May of that year
for the dual purposes of satisfying local area demand for monofilament
products and better serving the needs of its existing customers. |
|
1997 |
|
Ri-Thai expands to its Kunshan, China location in December to further
aid in the manufacturing of monofilament for use in polyester zippers
and hook and loop tape fasteners. |
|
2001 |
|
For the purpose of promoting management effectiveness, Ri-Thai Fiber
Corporation and Rectown Enterprise Co., Ltd. are combined in July
2001 to form Ri-Thai International Inc. |

2002 |
|
In January of this year, the Suntex Sports-Turf Corporation is established
as a joint-venture effort to specialize in the tufting of artificial
grass using monofilament and fibrillated yarns. |

| Certification |
|
1997 |
|
Ri-Thai’s Chung Li plant is awarded the prestigious ISO-9002 certification
for its commitment to and success in providing quality products. |
|
1998 |
|
In December of the following year, Ri-Thai’s Guangzhou plant is
likewise awarded the ISO-9002 quality assurance standard. |
|
2000 |
|
Continuing in this tradition of excellence, the Kunshan plant becomes
ISO-9002 certified in June of that year. |
|
2004 |
|
All plants are re-certified with the new ISO 9001: 2000 standard.
