Founded by Mr. Wen Tuan Huang, in 1977, Ri-Thai International Inc. clings to its initial intentions and stands firm on its founding values with its pursuit of excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation as well as its effort to strive for better quality and meet the diverse demands from customers.
Our plant, also our R&D headquarters, in Chungli District at Taoyuan City, Taiwan is a fully equipped facility staffed with seasoned technical experts and can develop new products according to customer needs. We continue to improve existing products and create more functions to optimize product value.
We strive to achieve high quality and demand high standard of the purity of our products. In the process of monofilament production, we keep the essence of material as they are, without adding other ingredients, except for the necessary color masterbatches and additives that are added to match the colors and physical properties requested by customers. We choose additives from reputable suppliers to ensure the quality and purity of our products comply with international regulations of environment protection and safety.

1977
RI-THAI FIBER CORPORATION was established in Taipei City and had its production plant set in Taoyuan City. We became the first company in Taiwan’s man-made fiber industry to ever successfully produce the PET Polyester monofilament used for making zipper fasteners.
1980
We were the first company in Taiwan’s man-made fiber industry to ever successfully produce the Nylon 66 monofilament used for making hook and loop fasteners.
1982
We moved our production plant to its current location in Chungli District at Taoyuan City to meet the growing market demands.
1993
We set up our factory in Zengcheng City, Guangzhou, China to produce monofilament to extend services to our existing customers in Taiwan and meet the market demands in Southern China.
1997
We obtained the ISO-9001:1994 certification for our achievement in quality.
1997
We set up our factory in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, China to produce monofilament to further serve customers in central China.
2001
We changed our company name to “Ri-Thai International Inc.” following the merge of RI-THAI FIBER CORPORATION. and RECTOWN ENTERPRISE CO., LTD.
2002
We established Suntex Sports-Turf (Kunshan) Corporation with other partners to produce artificial turf.
2003
We obtained the ISO-9001:2000 certification for our achievement in quality.
2005
We obtained the OEKO-TEX certification .
2009
We obtained the ISO-9001:2008 certification for our achievement in quality.
2017
We obtained the ISO-9001:2015 certification for our achievement in quality.
2017
We established our factory in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam to produce monofilament and bring us closer to customers in emerging markets in Southeast Asia.
2019
We obtained the GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification for our achievement in providing recycled product.
2021
We obtained the ISO50001:2018 certification (Energy management systems).

Vision
Environmental protection is a global issue and an important task. When developing products and business, we, at Ri-Thai, pay special attention to circular economy and sustainability.
Recycling plastic scraps to reduce plastic waste and decreasing the use of petrochemical plastics, Ri-Thai has obtained the Global Recycle Standard (GRS) Certification for producing sustainable monofilaments using GRS certified recycled materials. In addition to our effort to protect the planet, we seek to extend product life, assist customers in designing and developing single-material product that are recyclable or reusable, and constantly explore bio-based materials and develop bio-based monofilaments.
